It's more complicated this year than last year

World Team Trials are May 18-20. Walz, Graff, and Molinaro qualified for the senior trials; Lewis and Borst qualified for the junior trials.

For the juniors, the winners of the World Team Trials are on the world team. Junior worlds are September 17-23 in Slovakia.

For the seniors, the winners of the World Team Trials move on to the "Final X", which take place at 3 different locations over 3 weekends in June. For each weight class, Final X involves a head-to-head, best 2-out-of-3 matchup between the winner of the World Team Trials and the wrestler who has already advanced to Final X (see link below).

The Final X is new this year, and is basically an attempt to drum up additional interest in the sport by spreading out the world team qualification process over additional weekends. Frayer talked about it a little on the last podcast; doesn't sound like he's a fan.

The winner of Final X is on the senior world team. Senior worlds are October 22-28 in Budapest.
